L+M buys East Village rental building for $44M BFC Partners developed the 79-unit property in 2002

L+M Development Partne上海贵族宝贝论坛 上海贵族宝贝rs scooped up a 79-unit East Village rental building kn上海千花社区 上海千花网交友own as Eastville Ga阿拉爱上海同城 爱上海龙凤419桑拿rdens for $44 million, according to property records filed with the city Thursday.

The developer paid $44 million to owner BFC Partners, which finished developing the building at 342 East 8th Street in 2002. The seven-story building, Near Avenue C, has a mix of market-rate units and affordable housing. A Baptist church is also on the site, but doesn t appear to be part of the deal.

L+M declined to comment. BFC did not return a call seeking comment.

L+M, a major player in affordable housing construction in the city, recently helped buy the home of soul food restaurant Red Rooster Harlem for $21 million.

The company is also teaming up with BFC and Taconic Investment Partners on the Essex Street Crossing redevelopment project, which is slated to open in 2018.

Westfield sues yet another WTC mall tenant for not moving in Landlord demands $2.5M from boutique eyeshop Edward Beiner

Westfield is suing a fifth retail tenant for not taking space at the shopping complex at the World Trade Center. The Australian real estate firm claims Edward Beiner owes $2.5 million for defaulting on its seven-year lease.

The luxury Miami-based eyewear retailer informed Westfield in June that it would not be taking possession of the 658-square-foot space 新爱上海同城对对碰论坛 上海同城对对碰交友社区it had leased. 上海夜网论坛 上海夜网The retailer said it would not be ready 爱上海同城手机版 新爱上海同城对对碰论坛in time fo上海贵族宝贝 上海千花网龙凤论坛r the August opening date due to delays on Westfield’s part and other construction issues, according to court documents filed in New York State Supreme Court Wednesday.

Westfield declined to comment on the litigation. Neither Edward Beiner nor its counsel were immediately available for comment.

Edward Beiner is just the latest WTC tenant Westfield has sued since June, including fashion retailers, Dune London, Bebe and True Religion and coffee shop Fika. Westfield claimed in court papers that the retailers are contractually obligated to take the space before Westfield finds a replacement tenant. Three of the tenants countersued and True Religion settled the matter out of court.

The move to the 365,000-square-foot WTC mall would have been Edward Beiner’s first location outside Florida.

BK condo unit filings up 38% over last year Between January and April, developers submitted plans for 60 projects totaling 797 units

Brooklyn developers submitted just 60 condominium project上海贵族宝贝交流区 上海贵族宝贝论坛s to the New York State Attorney General s爱上海同城 爱上海 Office during the first four months of 2017, but they re shooting for higher unit counts than were sought a year ago.

In all, developers filed plans seeking a total of 797 residential units, according to a review of submitted filings by The Real Deal. That s about 13 apartments per project. During the same time last year, developers filed plans for 73上海夜网 阿爱上海同城 condos with just 577 units an average of eight apartments per project.

While condos were planned all over the Brooklyn map, developers showed the most interest in Greenpoint and a trio of neighborhoods along the Q line in southern Brooklyn.

The three neighborhoods with the most new residential units were Borough Park, Midwood, Sheepshead Bay, which accounted for close to half of all new condo units submitted in 2017. On the whole, these were larger projects, with three developments planned for Midwood and Sheepshead Bay each, a上海贵族宝贝 上海千花网龙凤论坛veraging 35 and 36 units, respectively.

Booking.com takes 53K sf at 28 Liberty Fosun International is repositioning former JPMorgan headquarters

Fosun International’s booked a new tenant at 28 Liberty Street in the Financial District.

Travel website Booking.com signed a lease for 53,000 square feet in the mid-rise section of the 60-story tower, sources told The Real Deal.

The popular website, whose “Booking.yeah” ad campaign blankets TV airwaves, leased part of the 28th floor and the full 29th floor in a 10-year deal. Asking rents in that portion of the building are in the $60s per square foot.

A representative for Fosun, which is in the midst of repositioning the former One Chase Manhattan Plaza tower it bough in 2013 for $725 million, d新爱上海同城对对碰论坛 上海同城对对碰交友社区eclined to comment. A JLL team led by John Wheeler is handling leasing at the building for Fosun. Richard Levine of CBRE represented Booking.com.

Booking.com currently has offices Downtown just two blocks away at Ma上海同城对对碰交友社区 上海夜网论坛nulife Real Estate’s 100 William Street. It wasn’t immediately clear if the company will relocate those offices or if the new d上海千花社区 上海千花网交友eal represents an expansion.

The Priceline.com subsidiary is showing strong momentum this year. The company has roughly 1.5 million properties on the platform上海龙凤论坛sh1f 上海龙凤论坛, an increase of 41 percent from last year, Reuters reported.

In a statement to The Real Deal, the museum s executive director, Andrew Ackerman, said the museum was at capacity at its 83rd Street location and had been actively looking for a new one.

The winners of a design competition, which asked architects and designers to re-imagine 11 blocks worth of the avenue from 46th to 57t上海龙凤论坛sh1f 上海龙凤论坛h Streets, are betting you ll be curious enough to try it.

Backed by developer Fisher Brothers, the competition was conceived as a process comparable to the early stages of the developing the High Line.

Out of almost 150 entries, the winning scheme selected by the jury was designed by firm Maison s Ben Meade, Anthony Stahl, and Alexia Beghi, according to Curbed, and will recei阿爱上海同城 阿拉爱上海同城ve $2爱上海同城 爱上海5,000 in prize money. Blackstone Group outmaneuvered Pebblebrook Hotel Trust to buy luxury hotel owner LaSalle Hotel Properties with an all-cash bid of $4.8 billion, including debt.

The agreement comes just three days after Blackstone sold its remaining shares in Hilton Hotel上海千花网龙凤论坛 上海千花社区s, making its investment in the company most profitable leveraged buyout in history at $14 billion.

Blackstone agreed to buy LaSalle at $33.50 per share, or a premium of almost 35 percent above the company’s share price on March 27, Bloomberg reported.

That was the day that Pebblebrook first announced a proposed all-stock deal to buy LaSalle. The company made three public bids, with the last one disclosed on April 24 valui上海千花网 爱上海同城对对碰ng LaSalle’s shares at $35.44.

Even though Pebblebrook’s proposal is higher than Blackstone’s, LaSalle’s board preferred the certainty 爱上海 爱上海同城手机版of the latter, people familiar with the process爱上海 爱上海同城手机版 told Bloomberg.

“After careful consideration of multiple proposals received, the board determined that this transaction represents the most compelling opportunity for LaSalle’s shareholders, delivering a significant premium with immediate and certain cash value,” LaSalle chairman Stuart Scott said of the Blackstone agreement.

Egypt to move ahead with record-breaking skyscraper designed by the late Zaha Hadid Tower will be Africa’s tallest

Egyptian developer Living in Interiors is finally ready to move forward with its Cairo skyscraper design上海龙凤论坛 新上海贵族宝贝论坛ed by late starchitect Zaha Hadid, which will be Africa’s tallest building upon completion.

Working alongside the Egyptian government, the developer is breaking ground on the 70-story residential and hotel Nile Tower, Forbes reported.

Hadid, the 上海夜网论坛 上海夜网Iraqi-British architect who became the first female to win the Pritzker Prize, designed the tower in 2007. The Egyptian government put the project on hold amid political unrest in 2011, but it’s now ready to move forward amid an Egyptian building boom.

“The Egyptian economy and the development of the country is started again,” Farah Kamal, a spokesperson for Living In Interiors, told Forbes.

There is one catch: The project is expected to cost $600 million, though the figure is likely to rise by $150 million because the Egyptian pound has weakened as the government pushes through economic reforms.

Hadid died suddenly at the age of 65 in 2016 of a heart attack in a Miami hospital, where she was being treated for bronchitis.
